1 Arrival in Petropavlovsk. Transfer to appartments in Elizovo. Rest. app. BLD
2 With 6x6  transfer to the Central Kamchatka (7 hours). Crossing the Kamchatka river with a ferry. Along  cross-country road (1 hour) – as far as banks of the Studyonaya river, the point for observation of the highest volcanoes in Kamchatka: Kliutchevskaya Sopka, Kamen, etc. tents BLD
3 With 6x6  transfer to the foothills of Tolbachik (2,5-3 hours) along cross-country road. Basic camp on the Vodopadnaya (“Waterfall”) river. Ideal visibility
of Tolbachik. Visiting canyons cut  in stiffed lava (3 hours’ walking).

4 With 6x6  crossing ash plateau (the result of long and powerful eruption of 1975-76) and approaching (1 hour) 2 active ash cones of Tolbachik. Ascent (elevation gain 220  m). Great visibility of the whole plateau. Visiting petrified forest and lava caves. Return to the basic camp with 6x6. tents BLD
5 With 6x6  up the slopes of Tolbachik as high as possible (depends on the current conditions, usually to 1250  m). CLIMBING as far as the crater (elevation gain 1650  m).  We plan 9-10 hours of walking. Return to the basic camp with 6x6.  tents BLD
6 Transfer back (a part of the way, 7 hours). Visiting Kozyrevsk,  the typical Siberian village of Russians. Overnight in  the valley of Kamchatka river. tents BLD
7 Transfer to Elizovo (the rest of the way, 4 hours). Rest. app. BLD
8 With 6x6 – transfer up the Paratunka river valley, then to the volcanic plateau. Basic camp on the oasis made by little river falling from plateau.  Totally 3-4 hours’ driving. Visiting the point of observation (3 hours’ walking). tents BLD
9 With 6x6 – approaching the foothills of Gorely volcano  (0,5 hour). CLIMBING Gorely volcano as far as 2 craters (1 is active), climbing the top (1828  m). Elevation gain about 800  m. We plan 7-8 hours of walking. Return to the basic camp with 6x6. tents BLD
10 With 6x6 – approaching the foothills of Mutnovsky volcano (1 hour). CLIMBING
Mutnovsky as far as the fumarols, then to the edge of active crater. Lots of different volcanic activity observed (mud pots, fumaroles, jets of vapour, etc.). Elevation gain  750  m. We plan 9-10 hours of walking. Return to the basic camp with 6x6.

11 Visiting hot springs down the valley (2 hours of walking). After lunch – transfer to Elizovo with 6x6. app. BLD
12 With 6x6  transfer to the foothills of Avachinsky / Koryaksky volcanoes (2,5 hours). Basic camp in a wooden hut, dormitory accomodation. Climbing Verblyud (“Camel’) mount - the point of observation (elevation gain 350  m). We plan 3,5 hours of walking. hut BLD
13 CLIMBING Avachinsky volcano (2741  m). Elevation gain 1900  m. One of the best point of observation in Kamchatka! Stiffed lava flow on the top, lots of fumarols. hut BLD
14 Transfer to Elizovo. Visiting fish market. Rest. app BLD
15 Visiting  museum of the Kronotsky reserve in Elizovo. Coach excursion to the Avachinsky bay and Petropavlovsk. app BLD
16 OPTIONAL DAY: the heli-excursion to the Valley of Geysers / Uzon caldera.
In case of unfavourable weather: visiting the Pacific Ocean coast north of Petropavlovsk with a coach (2 hours’ driving). Great panorama of volcanoes,
Long ash beaches.

17 Transfer to the airport. Departure.
